Our Family Site - Little Thunder by Elisabeth Burrowes

But one day, as Little Thunder was running in the woods, he broke his bow.
He sat down on it and broke it in two, right in the middle.
Little Thunder said to his father,
"I have broken my bow.  Will you please mend it for me?"
Big Thunder looked at the bow.
  "No," said Big Thunder.
"I cannot mend this bow, Little Thunder.  It is a bow that is broken very completely."
"But what shall I do for hunting?" asked Little Thunder.
"Oh, one of these days I will make you another bow," said Big Thunder, "and some big, new arrows."
  "Today?" said Little Thunder.
