    W. J. Sanor was educated in the schools of Santa Clara. After graduating from the high school, he went on the road as a wholesale cigar salesman and followed it for ten years; later he entered business for himself, and this has steadily increased in volume from year to year. Was a member of the Observatory Parlor, N. S. G. W., San Jose.

    William married Janie Murray on 28 Feb 1910 in Redwood City, CA. Janie (daughter of Murray and Hamble) was born on 29 Dec 1890 in Texas; died on 08 Oct 1982 in Nevada County, CA. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

    Notes:

    Moved West via ox team in 1849 looking for gold. He turned to farming with more success, developing a claim of 240 acres fronting Stevens Creek Road. Finally in 1887 he sold this farm for the then "enormous" sum of $250.00 an acre and retired to San Jose.

    Michael married Susan Norton in May 1855. Susan (daughter of Edward Norton) was born in 1837 in Canada; died on 09 Mar 1888. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]
